Especially in a sector that is perceived by the public as road hogs and environmental sinners, it is important to contribute actively to image enhancement.<\/p>\n

In terms of their vehicle fleet Auch Hauliers and Storage began as far back as early 2005 to convert the fleet to Euro IV and later Euro V. However, reducing the vehicles\u2019 emissions of hazardous substances only makes an effective contribution to environmental protection if fuel consumption is brought down at the same time. The company analyses this on a monthly basis, awards prizes and puts up notices to show the drivers the results. This has led to a kind of fuel-saving competition and has had not one, but two positive effects: every litre of fuel saved both reduces costs and preserves natural resources.<\/p>\n
