V. (SLV) had invited Andreas J\u00e4schke to present the green logistics project of VTL in the scope of the members&#8217; meeting of the Land Transport Group on 8 June 2011. In his lecture J\u00e4schke, managing director of the LCL co-operation VTL Vernetzte-Transport-Logistik GmbH, clarified the significance of green logistics: no greenwashing &#8211; just economy, social sustainability and ecology. He introduced the audience to the Network Carbon Footprint (NCF) of the VTL network, which was certified by T\u00dcV Rheinland at the Munich transport logistic in May. The VTL boss outlined the complex task of collecting data &#8211; over a period of several months &#8211; and illustrated at the end of the presentation how VTL aims to continue optimising its NCF via co-operation software and other CO2-reducing measures such as driver training and information events.<\/p>\n<p>VTL is supported and assisted in its task by Prof. Dr. Dirk Lohre, head of the Institute for Sustainability in Transport and Logistics (INVL) at Heilbronn University.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Speditions- und Logistikverband Hessen\/Rheinland-Pfalz e.
