This year’s VTL CargoFamily shareholders’ meeting, held on June 30, 2026, in Bad Salzschlirf, focused entirely on further development, strategic direction, and personal exchange. In addition to a review of a successful fiscal year and an outlook on upcoming projects, the VTL Supervisory Board was re-elected, and a keynote address by former Bundesliga referee Lutz Wagner on the topic of “Making Decisions” provided inspiring food for thought.

VTL Managing Director Markus Egerer provided an update on current developments within the partnership and presented key progress as well as upcoming projects. In his statement, Supervisory Board member Jürgen Frömberg summarized the past fiscal year and offered an outlook on the future strategic direction of VTL CargoFamily. In addition, Herbert Rothschild, a long-standing member of the Supervisory Board, was honored, and the VTL Supervisory Board was newly elected.

A highlight of the event was the presentation by Lutz Wagner. The former Bundesliga referee—who now serves as the coordinator for referee training at the German Football Association and as a coach for Bundesliga referees—spoke on the topic of “Making Decisions.” Drawing on his experiences in professional soccer, he impressively demonstrated the parallels between refereeing, soccer, and management, and how executives can benefit from the principles of clear decision-making, communication, and responsibility, offering participants numerous points for reflection.

In addition, attendees received the latest information on network development at the national and international levels and on the new e-invoicing system. In addition to the official reports, the meeting provided participants with ample opportunity for professional exchange, discussion of current topics, and networking.
