In mid-October 2024, the general cargo cooperation VTL Vernetzte Transport Logistik GmbH organized a network meeting to intensify cooperation between the individual depots and the VTL system headquarters. The event’s new format was aimed at specialist managers from the areas of quality management, disposition and service.
A varied program awaited the participants, which included presentations on the topics of quality, environmental management, hazardous goods, service and disposition. Markus Egerer, Managing Director of VTL, also reported on the development of VTL and gave an outlook on the upcoming 2025 financial year, in which the focus will be on quality.
In the second part of the event, five active workshops were held, which were moderated by team members from the specialist departments. The aim was a lively exchange between the depot representatives and the VTL system headquarters on the current network topics of quality management, digitalization, IT, operations and the correct handling of dangerous goods. The participants had plenty of opportunities to exchange ideas with each other, strengthen personal cohesion, provide constructive feedback and develop ideas. At the end, the results of the workshops were presented and the next steps were discussed in order to gradually implement the output in practice and further advance the network.
“Looking back, the event was very constructive and offered added value to all participants, as it included more opportunities for interaction and exchange and had a high practical factor. The system headquarters received many ideas and suggestions that will support us in our future work,” summarizes Managing Director Markus Egerer. The next step is to prioritize the workshop results and gradually put them in to practice.
