Fulda, 22 July 2021 – The company VTL Vernetzt-Transport-Logistik GmbH has reached an important milestone in the digitisation of its processes: From now on, a new analysis tool ensures a higher level of transparency for partners and in the system headquarters.

The dashboard automatically bundles various data from the company network. It analyses it and then puts at disposal the clearly prepared key figures. The advantage: “This means that the individual depots always have a complete overview of their performance,” so Robert Rasenberger, Head of Quality Management and Service at VTL. What about the current volume development? Which shipments have not yet reached the hub? How is the current performance? “The continuous monitoring always provides answers to these and other questions,” comments Rasenberger. Consequently, it creates the basis for a targeted improvement in terms of quality: Weak points are now noticed much earlier, and adequate improvement measures can be initiated promptly.

The KPI dashboard is a result of the comprehensive future project “VTL Next” which was started last year. This way, the general cargo cooperation is setting the course for its realignment by transforming VTL into a more modern, even more attractive network offering a wide range of logistical services. In the context of this project, the continuous development of the KPI dashboard is planned. “The objective is to provide partners with additional tools enabling them to regularly improve performance as well as quality,” Robert Rasenberger says.
