The second meeting took place at VTL headquarters in Fulda. Professor Lohre presented a number of sample calculations and discussed with the participating VTL partners what data should be captured and how. The participants favoured basing this work on the ISO 14064 standard, so that it would be possible for the project to be validated. They also agreed that in determining the Network Carbon Footprint sub-contractors’ data should also be captured and incorporated into Scope 3. It is planned to have the data capture questionnaire finished by the end of the October. The intention is then to have the first data collected from VTL reference partners in November.

The next working group session takes place on Tuesday, 23rd November 2010 in Fulda.
