Services

Our services

Together with our network partners, we offer needs-based shipping solutions for your general cargo in Europe. The central hub in Fulda and the two regional hubs North and West in Hanover and Gelsenkirchen are networked with direct transports and enable the handling of more than 6,000 general cargo shipments every day. With this system, network partners can offer their customers the transport of goods at 24/48 hour intervals. Thus, a comprehensive supply chain offer is created by the partners “on site” and a multitude of regional services in more than 39 countries.

24-hour service / Overnight (OV)

Delivery occurs within 24 hours during normal business hours (08:00 am – 05:00 pm) or by a sheduled time (10:00 am or 12:00 am).

Fixed-time service

Our fixed deadlines adhered to exactly. Your general cargo will not be delivered later, but also not earlier. Fixed appointments have a minimum term of 48 hours, optionally also until 10:00 or 12:00 am on the specified delivery day.

Economy

Delivery occurs with a minimum duration of 48 hours without a binding time of day. You not only save money on freight, but also CO2e emissions through the optimal utilisation of the vehicles used.

Private customer delivery

In contrast to collection and delivery for business customers, individual requirements are placed on the freight forwarder when handling private customers. Establishing contact, agreeing on a delivery date and the delivery itself becomes a service product in its own right due to the reduced availability and lack of equipment on site.

HUB prio

With the ” HUB Prio” service and the associated obligation to continue loading in the HUB, the turnaround time of a shipment is reduced by 24 hours. This means that deliveries can now be made even faster.

CO2e-balanced transport

With the CO2e-balanced transport (for national consignments) partners and customers can make a valuable contribution to climate protection and support the certified project “7186 Community Reforestation in Nicaragua“, which already fulfils 11 SGDs. The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) comprise 17 universal goals for sustainable development and are the core of the UN’s 2030 Agenda. They are to be achieved by all UN member states by 2030.

In addition, our general cargo network offers further services:

Transportation of GGVS-/ADR-cargo

You can also have dangerous goods transported via the VTL network that are authorised for transport in accordance with §3 GGVSEB. As we transport general cargo, individual dangerous goods classes are excluded via the system. You can use our ADR database to check in advance whether your goods can be shipped via the network.

Customs clearance

Logistics knows no borders. Our general cargo cooperation transports your cross-border consignments safely and in accordance with regulations – including europe-wide customs clearance!

Central billing

VTL is able to centralise invoicing for you. This simplifies your operational organisation and increases efficiency.

Europe-wide transports

You will find our European partners on our overview map.
